Step 1 — Find your pump and your part

Start at the nameplate. Write down the model and serial number. You'll need both.

Next, find the exact part you need. On AODD pumps, a few parts wear out most:

• Diaphragms — these wear out first
• Valve balls and seats — check both; they wear as a pair
• O-rings and gaskets — check both thoroughly
• Air valve parts — check these if the pump won't run right

Do you have the old part number? Great. Grab it from the manual, the parts diagram, or the old part itself. It makes Step 3 quick. No number? That's fine. Your model number and part type will get you there.

Step 2 — Match the part to your fluid

This is where most people go wrong. Size alone is not enough. On an AODD pump, the material matters most. The right material is what keeps the part alive in your fluid.

Match these to what you pump:

• Diaphragm material — this is the big one. Santoprene, PTFE, Buna-N, Viton/FKM, EPDM, and Neoprene each handle different fluids, heat levels, and wear. Pick the one that fits your fluid — not the cheapest one.
• Ball and seat material — same rule here.
• Size and port type — make sure these match your pump.

• ✅ Material — right for your fluid?
• ✅ Size — correct?
• ✅ Amount — do you need one part or a kit? Some parts come in a repair kit (diaphragms, balls, seats, and O-rings together). A kit is often the better deal for a full rebuild.
