AMT® Heavy Duty Straight Centrifugal Pump
AMT® Heavy Duty Solids Handling End Suction Centrifugal Pumps are designed for a wide range of industrial applications, including liquid and chemical transfer, heating and cooling, recirculation, and booster services. They are particularly effective for handling dirty water and applications where rust or corrosion might be a concern, thanks to their stainless steel construction.
Key features include a semi-open impeller that allows for self-cleaning, making these pumps suitable for liquids with up to 1/8" diameter solids. The discharge position is adjustable in 90° increments, and each pump is equipped with vent and drain plugs for convenience. They utilize a Type 21 mechanical seal and O-ring casing seal for reliability.
These pumps are close-coupled to Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) motors but do require a flooded suction, as they are not self-priming. This design ensures robust performance in demanding conditions while effectively managing solid-laden or dirty liquids.
